Two years have passed since the apparent defeat of Naraku, and Japan rejoiced as he fell to his knees. Things went back to the way they were before, and demonic activity decreased. However, things are about to get heated up once more, and the ride is going to be a very bumpy one.

After stumbling across an ancient box buried beneath an ancient tree, a Shinto priest discovered five jewels, named the Seishi crystals. He took them to the temple that he worked at, and placed them upon a pedestal. The priest had no idea what he had just done, for the crystals reacted to each other and the power of the pedestal, and re-opened the entrance to the Sengoku Jidai in the Bone Eater's well.

A few demons soon found themselves within the Modern Era, but that is not the worst of it. The crystals not only opened the portal to the Feudal Era, but they also reversed the death of Naraku. He didn't really die in the final battle, and had instead used a doppleganger, but had payed a high price to stay alive. The crystals re-awakened his soul, and now back to full power, he vows revenge against Inuyasha and gang.

The whole of Japan is in crisis, and demons have once again began to increase, and cause havok upon the humans. Naraku searches for loyal henchmen to carry out his dirty work, while he searches high and low for the Seishi crystals - five in total, and each one bound to a different person in the Sengoku Jidai.

The world is looking bleak, and there are those who must stand up against the half-breed in order to regain freedom, before Japan is torn apart ...
